Making Ricotta Doughnuts
I came upon THIS recipe awhile ago and always wanted to make them. I knew Rylie would love them, but I knew I would love them even more
After her nap, we surprised her by telling her that we were going to make doughnuts. She was super excited and was eager to start helping out. The recipe is so easy to follow and even Youkeun’s been raving about it ever since. The recipe says that it makes 16 doughnuts, but we made a lot more by making them smaller. I didn’t have powdered sugar on hand, but used sugar and cinnamon instead for the coating. I also saved half of the batter and can’t wait to make them again!Still in her pj’s helping me mix the batter.

looks sooo good and i got a deep fryer like yours from my wedding YEARS ago but i haven’t used it yet because i keep thinking – what the heck am i gonna do with all that oil left over? did you just dump your oil or do you re-use? i may have to bust out the fryer to try these doughnuts though!
i love R’s expression… she looks so focused. what a sweet mommy/daughter moment. maybe i’ll try this same recipe with audrey. i KNOW she’ll love them. btw, did you find out what you’re having?

@ka_woman - You should totally use the fryer!!! I saved the oil in one of those kimchee jars and plan on using it again.

yummy yummy! What tasty treats! I’m going to have to come back and look at the recipe~ I’ve had so many sweet dessert bread type cravings ie doughnuts, and pastries these days. I love all of the photos, Rylie is such a great helper
