  • Rylie’s 3rd Birthday Party

In the midst of looking for a home and waiting for #2 to arrive, we had Rylie’s 3rd birthday party to plan. Hubby and I were both hoping that I wouldn’t go into labor anytime before or on the day of her party. Thankfully, the baby stayed put :) . Rylie knew what she wanted for her party and had several requests: 1) She wanted Twinkle and her friends 2) party hats 3) wanted all her friends to come 4) and a flower cake. The only thing I couldn’t fulfill was the flower cake, but I told her I would make it up to her by making a rainbow cake instead.

Now that her party is over, we have two more things on our list to cross off!!! I’m at 38 wks now and just waiting…
I’m feeling super swollen these days and feel like “bleh.” On top of that, why is the weather so HOT!?!?

Here is the slideshow from Rylie’s bday party. All the pictures are taken by hubby and sources for the DIY’s are listed below! Enjoy :)

    Cupcake Bites: Bakerella
    Party Hats: Hip Hip Hooray
    Rainbow cake: The Idea Room
    Photobooth Fabric: Ikea’s Sofia Fabric
    Entertainment: Twinkle and Friends
    Cupcake Liners: Here and Here
    Cupcake Topper: Here

good job mama~ happy birthday rylie! you have the cutest smile…i love those two little dimples of yours~

  • and i love that whole jcrew look too~ super adorable!!

  • @trueClassic - thanks sue! I actually sewed the top part, so that we can insert the pole. if you don’t want to sew the fabric, you can always use clips since it won’t show in the photo. Youkeun already had a photobooth stand, but you can also make them with pvc pipes. Here are some links: Here and Here

  • @helenxmelon - thanks helen!! i will come back to your blog over the weekend.   i’ll be seeing you at americana tomorrow? see u then!

  • Wowie~I soo missed out! >< The party looked amazing, and you made that rainbow cake and all of those cuppies by yourself???!?! If so, how the heck did you get that frosting to look so smooth and professional looking? I am really really bad at cake making and have made some very ummm interesting looking cakes in the past. The inside is beautiful as the outside, I can’t believe you did all this when you’re about to give birth any day! Oh thanks for mentioning who the singers were! Chloe is still talking about them and refers to them as clowns~keke. See you tomorrow! :)
