We put up our Christmas tree yesterday as the first day of activity on our advent calendar. I had imagined to have our tree full of pretty ornaments and lots of light, but reality hit as soon as we started putting up the tree. Ryder was busy taking off all the ornaments and Rylie decided she only wanted one ornament on the tree… lol. I also realized that the ornaments have to be put out of Ryder’s reach or he’ll be the first to take it off and put it in a ziploc bag. This is my first year doing an advent calendar for the kids and Rylie is really enjoying it so far. I’m mixing it up by doing activities with the family and also giving her little surprise gifts. I’m hoping this can be an yearly tradition with the family.

awwww, ryder looks so cute!!! we just bought our christmas tree and its still bare…eleni is so excited to put the lights on…hope she won’t break them!

ryder is so cute!!! i think it’s more endearing to have a tree that has the special touches that the kiddos put on it. =)
