  • Neck Cramp

As you’ve seen in my previous post, Rylie once fell asleep sitting down. Today,
she fell asleep laying down, but in a position I’ve never seen before.

  • Strange Child

You’d think that Rylie would enjoy putting toys in her mouth, but she chooses the most random objects. I think it’s funny and strange at the same time.

She’s also been sleeping with my pekkle doll I had since Jr High. The first time she slept with it, I thought it was so cute I just had to take a picture. Since then, pekkle usually ends up in the corner of her crib.

  • She Stands!

I usually can’t take pictures of Rylie since she snatches it away from me before I can take a shot of her. She was being so silly today that I wanted to capture some of it. To my surprise, she was letting me take pictures of her and also decided to show-off a little bit.

She ‘s books. Her favorites are those “peek a boo” ones

Once she saw me with the camera, it was time for the “attack of Rylie.” Look at that intimidating face.

She backed off and wanted to show-off. She’s been standing on her own and taking a few steps these days

Her two front teeth make me laugh. The gap is too cute

She was being silly during snack time and kept doing this funny thing with the spoon.

She wanted to show-off again and fed herself

  • Rylie is dancing

While Youkeun and I eat breakfast, Rylie watches the Wiggles in her exersaucer. She recently started moving her body to the music, so everytime we say “dance” she moves from side to side and claps. We were able to catch her dancing a little bit from her backside.

We also forget to take family pics, so here’s an attempt to take one by ourselves with half of our faces cut off (haha).

  • Random Question

Rylie has 6 teeth so far, 4 on the bottom and 2 on top. I’m noticing that she has a slight underbite especially when she is giving her big “cheese” happy smile. I read that the infant’s jaw changes as their teeth start coming in. Other than that, there’s not much on the internet about underbites in infants. I’m waiting until her next visit with her pediatrician to ask about this, but for any parents out there, have you noticed this with your own child and should I be concerned about it?

  • Sleeping while sitting

Recently, Rylie has been crawling, standing, and sitting in her crib. I was excited to see her do all these things, but apparently, she was too. During her nap times, she’s so busy sitting and clapping away that she falls asleep in that position. As you can see, this girl is flexible.

  • San Diego Trip

I was really nervous for our first family overnight trip, but Rylie did super well. Something told me that she knew we weren’t home when we first arrived in San Deigo and she had a smirk on her face. Everything around her was new, so she was really fascinated with the home, her little friends, and all the new toys around her. I loved seeing all the little ones and was amamzed at how much they developed and grew since the last time we saw them.
A hightlight of the trip was when all the mommy’s went to get a massage. We took advantage of our time alone and totally enjoyed every moment of it.

    Bubble time!

R: Yum!! Can I taste that too?
N: Let me take a bite first

    I’ll play with the phone

Actually, I want to relax and read a book

  • Time to Eat!

Mealtimes are Rylie’s favorite. We recently starting feeding her peas and she absolutely loves it. Here she is being strapped into her chair. She looks a little dazed since she just woke up from her nap.

If you look very closely, you can see her first two bottom teeth!

  • Extreme Emotions

I’m learning that babies have extreme emotions from one moment to the next… and it’s totally normal. Here is a good example.

    La Di Da… so happy!
